Make Food, Not Waste will be an interactive session, combining an experiential acquaintance with the challenge of food waste and harnessing the audience's crowd wisdom to generate creative solutions for the problem.

Israel has the second highest rate of all OECD member countries in terms of food quantities being discarded annually, with many social and environmental implications. This data was one of the motivations for the launch of the Sustainable Transition Lab for Food Waste Reduction by The Natural Step Israel. The model of the innovation lab is a unique process, first of its kind in Israel, based on broad collaboration between all stakeholders relevant to addressing the challenge; in this case – the food industry. More than 40 organizations are partners to this project, with strategic partnerships of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Unilever, Tel Aviv Municipality, Dizengof Center and Tnuva.

* The Natural Step Israel is a social enterprise (or Community Interest Company, CIC), actively assimilating sustainability strategies into Israeli society from a perception of innovation and quality.
